An American Photographer, Art Director, and Actress in France
After graduating from California State University with a degree in Fine Arts, Stephanie Slama studied graphic design, illustration, and photography via the New York School of Visual Arts with the Paris Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques / Penninghen with renowned French artists such as Elle magazine Art Director Peter Knapp. Her work as production assistant for fashion photographers Mario Testino, Vincent Peters, and Sean Ellis at Art Partner for Gucci, Vogue, Arena, Dutch, The Face, Dazed and Confused, led to a position as associate Paris Fashion Editor for Claudie Rappeneau at the Condé Nast magazine Glamour. She was then hired as Art Director at Pennel for Guerlain, L’Oréal, and Helena Rubinstein, followed by TCF Consultants for Cacharel and Givenchy.
She is currently working as a professional photographer and art director creating advertising, catalogue, editorial, celebrity portraiture, and other published works. Clients have included Lanvin, Chloé, Givenchy, Dunhill, Dior, Caron, Warner Music, Saks Fifth Avenue, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Gala, Numéro, JDD, Paris Capitale magazine, Point de Vue, and others. She is represented in Paris by the agency PHOTO12 of Valerie Anne Giscard d’Estaing, and in London by Jason Shenai at Millennium. In addition to photography she has been working as a Photo Research Editor for the publication Air Mail Weekly in New York, by former Vanity Fair Magazine Editor-in-Chief Graydon Carter before it was bought by Puck. She is currently living in the Var region of Provence, north of St. Tropez and travels frequently.
On the “other side of the camera”, Stephanie also works as a professional actor in cinema, television, and theater and has studied with John Strasberg, son of the original “Actor’s Studio” founder Lee Strasberg. She has had speaking roles in feature films and television productions in both English and French.

Elle travaille actuellement comme photographe professionnelle et directrice artistique, créant des publicités, des catalogues, des éditoriaux, des portraits de célébrités et d'autres travaux publiés pour des clients comme Lanvin, Chloé, Givenchy, Dunhill, Dior, Caron, Warner Music, Saks Fifth Avenue, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Gala, Numéro, JDD, Paris Capitale, Point de Vue, et bien d'autres. Elle est représentée à Paris par l'agence PHOTO12 de Valérie Anne Giscard d'Estaing, et à Londres par Jason Shenai chez Millennium. Parallèlement à son activité de photographe, elle a travaillé comme rédactrice de recherche photographique pour la publication Air Mail Weekly à New York, fondée par Graydon Carter, ancien rédacteur en chef de Vanity Fair, avant son rachat par Puck. Elle vit actuellement dans le Var, en Provence, au nord de Saint-Tropez, et voyage fréquemment.
De l'autre côté de l'objectif, Stéphanie travaille également comme comédienne professionnelle au cinéma, à la télévision et au théâtre. Elle a notamment étudié avec John Strasberg, le fils du Lee Strasberg, fondateur de l'Actors Studio. Elle a interprété des rôles parlants dans des longs métrages et des productions télévisées en anglais et en français.
