“I work on both sides of the camera” – Stephanie Slama

After graduating from California State University with a degree in Fine Arts, Stephanie Slama studied graphic design and photography with the New York School of Visual Arts and the Paris Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques / Penninghen with renowned French artists such as Elle magazine Art Director Peter Knapp.

Her work as production assistant for fashion photographers Mario Testino, Vincent Peters, and Sean Ellis at Art Partner for Gucci, Vogue, Arena, Dutch, The Face, Dazed and Confused, led to a position as associate Paris Fashion Editor for Claudie Rappeneau at the Condé Nast magazine Glamour. She was then hired as Art Director at Pennel for Guerlain, L’Oréal, and Helena Rubinstein, followed by TCF Consultants for Cacharel and Givenchy. She is currently working as a professional photographer and art director creating advertising, catalogue, editorial, celebrity portraiture, and other published works for Lanvin, Chloé, Givenchy, Dunhill, Dior, Caron, Warner Music, Saks Fifth Avenue, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Gala, Numéro, JDD, Paris Capitale magazine, Point de Vue, and others. She is represented in Paris by the agency PHOTO12 of Valerie Anne Giscard d’Estaing, and in London by Jason Shenai at Millennium.

On the “other side of the camera”, Stephanie also works as a professional actor in cinema, television, and theater and has studied with the son of the original “Actor’s Studio” founder Lee Strasberg among others. She has had speaking roles in feature films and television productions in both English and French.
